What Would Your Ideal Television Features Be?

Im doing a project and was wondering what would peoples ideal television features would be, as im designing this for a broad range of people and wondering what is peoples opinions on the tv menus and interactivity, for example hand gesture based television, imagine changing the channel by moving your hand left or right for another channel, or what about if your watching a program and someone sends you a text message you could open up a screen and view it on the tv, ill be delighted to know what you will mention, thank you!

I’m guessing there is no wrong answer here, and we can use our imagination for features that don’t yet exist?
If that’s the case, here are some not yet invented ideal features of my television:
- 1080p HDTV reception for all displayed content
- Superior upconversion quality for video that isn’t at 1080p (including web content, stand definition DVDs, etc.)
- Integrated wireless internet access (optional wired)
- Remote control, keyboard, and mouse (all wireless)
- Voice command/response (think cell phone voice control to the 100th power, for channels, websites, online video, etc.)
- Configuration menus support mouse control or touch control
- Phone/Email/IM integration (and the ability to turn this off if desired); this would be projected onto an adjacent wall so it wouldn’t interfere with the video
Hmmm, the television I describe is looking more like a computer and less like a television. I believe that describes what would be ideal for me.
In the mean time, I’ll just enjoy high definition television for what it can do.
I’m sure I left out a feature or two. Who else has some cool ideas?

TV show voice command. I.e.- walking into a room and saying, “Watch new Dexter episode” and it pops on, commerical free

being able to answer the phone and be able to see the person on the tv/.
A call comes in, Caller ID on the screen, and while I am talking on the “TV PHONE”, it pauses my show so I don’t miss anything.
