I want to record live television using a digital camera. It has an A/V out (mono) and i have connected it with the television but it cant record?

Like everyone said, not using cables. Obviously you could just point the camera at the screen and record the old fashioned way. It won’t be good quality though. You’d be much better off getting a VCR-type device.

No, it can’t. The A/V out on the camera is just that, for output to your TV. It doesn’t work the other way around.
